About us
The owners of IBO Investimentos are both Dutch Nationals that both have more than 20 years experience in Mozambique and the wider Southern and Eastern Africa region in a variety of sectors.
Ivo Weiler has spent most of his 25 year career working in or with Southern and Eastern Africa. He spent 2 years living and working in Kenya and 17 years in Mozambique, and has done business in South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda. He holds a masters in Civil Engineering as well as in Business Administration. His areas of expertise are infrastructure development, project management and developing local partnerships. He has worked in the sectors of heavy industry, mining, energy, offshore, tourism and agriculture.
Irene Visser, in her career of about 25 years, has spent 14 years in Mozambique and 3 years in South Africa, and has done business in many countries of the African continent including Ethiopia, Madagascar, Mauritius, Namibia, Senegal, Kenya, Cabo Verde and Sao Tome e Principe. She holds a masters degree in Industrial Design Engineering and a diploma in Business Administration. She has worked in sectors of tourism, agriculture, real estate and business linkages. In her latest role, she was the Director of the Netherlands Africa Business Council in the Hague (NL), where she developed business linkages between Dutch and African businesses.
